Instructions for Examining the Scriptures Daily
This booklet lists where on DVD the Watchtower paragraphs can be found to view the daily text and comments in American Sign Language (ASL). For example:
w08 4/15 2:9-11 = The Watchtower—On DVD, April 15, 2008, lesson 2, paragraphs 9 through 11
w09 2/15 1:11, 12 = The Watchtower—On DVD, February 15, 2009, lesson 1, paragraphs 11 and 12
When a scripture is followed by an asterisk (*), it means that verse is not signed on that DVD. You may first want to check if that verse is signed in the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures—American Sign Language Edition. If not, check the Watch Tower Publications Index for ASL publications under quoted scriptures to see if that verse is signed on another DVD. If there is no asterisk, the verse is signed within the paragraphs listed or elsewhere on the DVD.
A pound sign (#) appears next to the days leading up to the Memorial and the day after. This is a reminder to consider the Memorial Bible reading listed on the last page of this booklet.
Arranging your schedule to spend a few minutes each day viewing the daily text and comments on video will be very rewarding. If it is possible, discuss the information with the whole family, so that each member may be spiritually strengthened and encouraged to apply the Scriptural points in his life, in the preaching work, and in his dealings with other people.
As you think about the Scriptural information you see on video each day, you will come to feel as did the psalmist who wrote about God: “Your word is a lamp to my foot, and a light to my roadway.” (Ps. 119:105) May Jehovah’s blessing be upon you as you examine the Scriptures daily.
