“Many people have been taught that suffering is part of God’s plan. What do you think? [Allow for response.] Note what this says. [Play Job 34:10 from chap. 11, par. 5, of Bible Teach​—On DVD.] Since the Bible assures us that God does not act wickedly or unfairly, we can know that He is not the cause of our suffering. This is explained in Chapter 11 of this sign-language DVD set called What Does the Bible Really Teach? [Offer the DVD.] After you have a chance to watch some of the DVD, I’d like to come back and find out what you thought of it. Next time, we can discuss when we can expect all suffering to end.”
