For the Kingdom News
No. 38 Campaign
“I’m sharing in a worldwide campaign to convey an important message. May I share it with you?” Depending on the householder’s interest, you may show him the video on a personal handheld device or give him a printed copy. In order to cover the territory, keep your presentation brief. However, in some cases the householder may show genuine interest and may wish to converse. If so, you can ask his opinion about the opening question and then share the Bible’s answer as found in the video. As time allows, more of the video may be considered. Before leaving, show him the “To Think About” question and arrange to return and discuss it. Thereafter, the printed Kingdom News No. 38 can be left with the householder. A self-adhesive label should be attached to the front of the tract stating: “To view this message in sign-language, please go to www.jw.org.”
New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures—On DVD
“Do you think it is possible to be a friend of God? [Allow for response.] I would like to share a scripture with you about an individual that proves it is possible to be God’s friend. [Show James 2:23.] Did you notice what Abraham was called? [Allow for response.] The Bible explains the life of Abraham and his friendship with God in the book of Genesis. I would like to offer you this sign-language DVD. By watching these accounts, we can learn how to develop a friendship with Jehovah God. Perhaps the next time I stop by, we could discuss what we must do to be a friend of God.”
“Have you ever had the experience of seeking advice on how to deal with certain problems only to be frustrated and disappointed in the end? [Allow for response.] Did you know that there is advice given that has had worldwide success with every person who has applied it? It is contained in a sermon given by Jesus Christ found in chapters 5-7 of the book of Matthew. This Bible book has been translated into American Sign Language. I would like to leave it with you. Perhaps when I return, we can look at some verses that deal specifically with something we all face—anxiety.”
