Good News​—On DVD

“Many deaf people will use an interpreter while at work, school, or the doctor to relay their thoughts. It is similar with God. [Show 2 Timothy 3:16, found in Good News​—On DVD, lesson 3, paragraph 1.] Whose ideas did Bible writers present? [Allow for response.] God communicated with the Bible writers by means of his holy spirit. They were writing down or relaying God’s thoughts. Who were these men God inspired?” If householder is agreeable, begin a brief Bible discussion with lesson 3, paragraph 1.

Listen and Live​—On DVD

Have ready paragraph 2 of lesson 12 of Listen and Live​—On DVD and say: “May I get your thoughts on a scripture that shows Jesus teaching people how to pray? [Show Matthew 6:10 and pause on the sign “control.”] What does the sign ‘kingdom’ mean? [Allow for response.] May I show you a picture related to this? [Show the picture in paragraph 2 of lesson 12 of Listen and Live​—On DVD that depicts Jesus along with his fellow rulers.] What do you see? [Allow for response and, if needed, point to the crowns on their heads.] These are the kings that make up a government, the Kingdom. This group is led by. . . [Point to Jesus in front.] Jesus Christ. Where are they? [Allow for response.] What do they rule over? [Allow for response.] This is actually what we are praying for. How do you think this government can help you? Perhaps I can leave this DVD with you and when I return we can look at lesson 1 together.” You may use your discernment as to whether you should leave just the DVD or both the DVD and the printed publication.
