Bible Teach
Witness: Do you think Satan is a real person?
Non-Witness: I’m not sure. Maybe it’s just the bad inside us.
Witness: Many people have thought the same. I would like to show you a scripture. [He shows Matthew 4:1 on a tablet.] Notice, who does the Bible say that Satan was tempting?
Non-Witness: Jesus.
Witness: Right! And we know that Jesus was the Son of God, a perfect person. So could it be some evil inside of Jesus that he was struggling with?
Non-Witness: No. Not if he was perfect.
Witness: That’s right. So it is clear that Satan must be a real person. The Bible also explains that we do not have to be afraid of Satan. I would like to share this video with you that explains this from the Bible. [He shows bh 10:18, stopping after the sign “GREATER-THAN”.] Notice the last sign, “GREATER-THAN.” It says that God is more powerful than Satan and will protect us if we are his friend. Next time I visit, we can discuss the question, how we can become a friend of God? (bh 12:1-3)
Bible Teach
Witness: Around this time of year, many people think of Jesus’ birth. They see displays on churches, advertisements on TV, and so forth. Right?
Non-Witness: Yes! Of course, it’s everywhere.
Witness: Do you think it is more important to remember the day a person is born, or the day he dies?
Non-Witness: I think the day he is born.
Witness: Many people would say the same thing. It’s interesting that the Bible shows us how God views this. [He shows Ecclesiastes 7:1 on a tablet.] So which does it say that God views as more important?
Non-Witness: The day a person dies.
Witness: So, what about Jesus? Is the day of his birth or the day of his death more important? Notice this point. [He shows bh 32:5b on a tablet.] There is much more written in the Bible about his death than is written about his birth. Why was Jesus’ death so important?
Non-Witness: He died to save us.
Witness: That is true. Lesson 5 of this DVD explains clearly why his death is so important to us. Before I leave, let me ask you: Have you ever wondered how just one man dying could save millions of people? (bh 5:11)
