WƐ́ÐƐ́ 147 Life Everlasting Is Promised

ÐƐ-KƆ̃IN-GMƆÌN-GMƆÌNa

1. Xwɛ̀ Jɛhovaa nyɛ́nɛ́ín-ɖáìn-ɖɛ̀ ɓá sè-ná-sèɛ̀ fɛ̀ɛ̀ jè dyíɛɛ jè hwìɖìi-nàìn-nàìn nyu à hwòɖòɔ̀ kɛ́?

JEHOVAH promise that those who will obey him will get “everlasting life.” (Rom. 6:23) When we think good-good about what Jehovah promise us, that the more our love for him will get strong. Just think about this: Our heavenly Father love us so much that he will not let anything to separate us from him.

2. Xwɛ̀ nyɛ́nɛ́ín-ɖáìn-ɖɛ̀ ɓá sè-ná-sèɛ̀ fɛ̀ɛ̀ jè dyíɛɛ nyu à gbo kpáa kɛ́?

2 God promise to give us everlasting life can help us to bear anything we going through now-now. Even when our enemies try to kill us, we will not stop serving Jehovah. Why? Because we know that when we die faithful, Jehovah will bring us back to life and we will never die again. (John 5:28, 29; 1 Cor. 15:55-58; Heb. 2:15) Why we convince that it possible for us to live forever? Let look at some reasons.

JƐHOVA CĨ́ KÁNÁÁ PU

3. Xwíníínɔ̀ nyɛ́ kɔ̃̀ jè à ɓɛ́àìn hwòɖò kɔ̃ dèɛ̀ kà Jɛhova ɓɛ́ìn nyuɛ, ɓɛ́ à ké cĩ́ kánáá puɛ́? (Wɛ́ɖɛ́ 102:12, 24, 27)

3 We know that Jehovah able to give us everlasting life because life coming from him, and he can never die. (Ps. 36:9) See some Bible verse them that prove that Jehovah always been living and will always live. Psalm 90:2 say that, Jehovah been living “from everlasting to everlasting.” Psalm 102 say the same thing too. (Read Psalm 102:12, 24, 27.) The prophet Habakkuk also say: “Are you not from everlasting, O Jehovah? O my God, my Holy One, you do not die.”—Hab. 1:12.

4. À mɛ gbàìn hwòɖò dyií ɔ jù ké ɔ dyi mú kàmà ɓɛ́ à kéɛ múin wɔ̃́ kà Jɛhova ɖà cĩ́ɛ dyi gã̀ tee kɛɛ̀? Zaìn kɔ̃in.

4 You finding it hard to understand that Jehovah been living “for all eternity”? (Isa. 40:28) But not your one can think like that. Talking about God, Elihu said: “The number of his years is beyond comprehension.” (Job 36:26) But just because we not understand something good-good, it not mean that lie. For example, even though we not know how light came about, but you think we not know that light existing? We know! That the same way we can’t really understand that God always being living and he will always live. But it not mean that God not always being living. We can’t understand everything about the Creator. (Rom. 11:33-36) And he was living before he made the whole universe, like the sun and all the other thing them that can produce light. We sure Jehovah that “the Maker of the earth by his power.” Yes, he was living before he “stretched out the heavens.” (Jer. 51:15; Acts 17:24) What other reason make us sure that it possible for us to live forever?

Ɔ MƐ MA À ƁƐ́ À KÉ CĨ́ KÁNÁÁ PU

5. Ðɛ́ dyi-kpɔ̃in-nyɔ̀ kĩ́ín-kĩ́ín ɓè Geɖepɔɔ mɛ ma kɛɛ ɓéɖé ma kɛ́?

5 Among all the living things that Jehovah made, only human being he made to live forever. That only human being he made to never die. But, Jehovah gave Adam this warning: “As for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.” (Gen. 2:17) If Adam and Eve was going to obey Jehovah, they were not going to die. It give us reason to believe that after sometime, Jehovah was coming allow them to eat from “the tree of life.” That one was going to give them the hope that they were going to “live forever.”b—Gen. 3:22.

The Meaning of the Word “Forever” in the Bible

The most common word for “forever” in Hebrew that ʽOh·lamʹ. In the Bible, this word can mean something that been existing for long time in the past or will continue existing for long time in the future. But it not show the time it started or the time it will end. (Josh. 24:2; Ps. 24:7, 9) It can also mean something that will never end at all. That the same thing it mean when it talking about Jehovah been existing forever. (Ps. 102:12, 24, 27) The New World Translation can use this Hebrew word different-different ways. For example, “forever,” “lasting,” “everlasting,” or “long ago.” The New World Translation can use these word them depending on what it talking about.

6-7. (a) Ðɛ́ tɛ̀mɛ̀ìn ɖe kà nyɔùn se kɔ̃̀ ɓɛ́ wa ké mɛ́ kɛ́? (b) Ðɛ́ ɓè nì mu nyuɛ mɔ́ùn wɛ̃́? (Gmɔ̀ dyi-dyé-ɖɛ̀ ɓèɔ̀ dya.)

6 It interesting to know that scientist na find proof that our brain able to take plenty information more than the time we can live for. In 2010, one newspaper call Scientific American Mind said that, our brain can keep information that almost equal to TV program that can stay on for three  million hours or more than 300 years. Maybe our brain can even take information more than that one. This one show that the way Jehovah made our brain, 70 or 80 years not even enough for the information it able take.—Ps. 90:10.

7 Jehovah also made us with the desire to live forever. The Bible say, God “put eternity in their heart.” (Eccl. 3:11) That one reason why we look at death to be our enemy. (1 Cor. 15:26) That why when we get seriously sick, we can‘t just give up and die. We can always go to hospital and take medicine to fight that sickness. In fact, we can do our best so we can’t die. That the reason why when somebody die, whether that person young or old, we can really feel bad and cry. (John 11:32, 33) For sure, our loving Creator was not coming to put it in our heart if he was not having it in mind for us to live forever. But we having more reason to believe that we can live forever. Let look at some of the thing them Jehovah did way back, and some of the things he doing now-now to prove that the thing he was having in mind for human being not change yet.

Collage: One old brother sitting down with table in front of him that get plenty medicine on it. He reading the Bible and thinking on the thing them he will be able to do when he get strength in the new world. 1. He riding boat. 2. He drawing. 3. He walking near the waterfall.

Because we know we will get everlasting life, we can enjoy thinking about the thing them we will be able to do in the future (See paragraph 7)c

8 Even though Adam and Eve sin and because of that their children dying, Jehovah not change what he was having in mind for human being. (Read Isaiah 55:11.) He still want for faithful people to live forever. We say that because of the thing them Jehovah na say and do to fulfill his purpose.

9. Ðɛ́ Geɖepɔɔ ɖà à nyɛ́nɛ́ín ɖáìn nyɛ́? (Dànyá 12:2, 13)

9 Jehovah na promise that he will resurrect people who die and give them the chance to get everlasting life. (Acts 24:15; Titus 1:1, 2) The faithful man Job was convince that Jehovah really want resurrect those who na die. (Job 14:14, 15) The prophet Daniel knew that human being having the hope to be resurrected and get the chance to live forever. (Ps. 37:29; read Daniel 12:2, 13.) The Jews in Jesus day also knew that Jehovah able to give his faithful servants “everlasting life.” (Luke 10:25; 18:18) Jesus always use to talk about this promise, and his father resurrected him too.—Matt. 19:29; 22:31, 32; Luke 18:30; John 11:25.

The widow from Zarephath happy to receive her son the prophet Elijah resurrect.

The resurrection that Elijah perform, make you convince about what? (See paragraph 10)

10. Gĩɔ-wóɖó-wóɖó ɓè ɖé ti sũ̀à múɛɛ tɛ̀mɛ̀ìn ɖɛ́ kɛ́? (Gmɔ̀ dyi-dyé-ɖɛ̀ɔ̀ dya.)

10 Jehovah give us life and He get the power to bring people back to life. He gave the prophet Elijah power to resurrect the widow of Zarephath son. (1 Ki. 17:21-23) God help the prophet Elisha to resurrect the Shunammite woman son. (2 Ki. 4:18-20, 34-37) This one them and other examples prove that Jehovah get the power to bring people back to life. When Jesus was earth, he prove that his Pa gave him that power. (John 11:23-25, 43, 44) Jesus in heaven now-now and Jehovah na give him “all authority. . . in heaven and on the earth.” So he in the position to fulfill the promise that say, “all those in the memorial tombs” will come back to life with the hope to live forever.—Matt. 28:18; John 5:25-29.

11. Xwɛ̀ mú-gbàìn-ɖɛ̀ɔ̀ nyuɛ ɓɛ́ à ké cĩ́ɛ ɓɛ́ìn kánáá puɛ́?

11 Why Jehovah allow His Son to die painful death? Jesus show us the reason when he said: “God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) God make it possible for us to get everlasting life by giving His Son as ransom to pay for our sins. (Matt. 20:28) The apostle Paul explain this important part of God purpose when he wrote: “Since death came through a man, resurrection of the dead also comes through a man. For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive.”—1 Cor. 15:21, 22.

12. Xwɛ̀ Kã́á-ɓòɖòɔ̀ mu gbo-kpá-sɔ̃̀ toùn, ɓɛ́ Jɛhovaa hwòɖòɛ̀-gbɔ-po-ɖɛ̀ ké jàà kpá kɛ́?

12 Jesus taught his disciple them to pray for God Kingdom to come and for God will to take place on earth. (Matt. 6:9, 10) Part of God purpose that for human being to live forever on the earth. For that one to happen, Jehovah made his Son King for His Kingdom. God been putting 144,000 people together from the earth, to rule with Jesus to fulfill God will.—Rev. 5:9, 10.

13. Ðɛ́ Jɛhova nì nyuɛń kàùn wɛ̃́, ké xwɛ̀ m̀ nyu ɖɛ nìà kɛ hwìɛ̀ kpáa kɛ́?

13 Jehovah being putting together “a great crowd” of people and training them to live under his Kingdom. (Rev. 7:9, 10; Jas. 2:8) Even though plenty people in the world divided today because of fear and war, the great crowd working hard to love each other. They already showing by their action that they beating their swords into plowshares. (Mic. 4:3) They can’t take part in war that can make plenty people to die. But they helping people to find “the real life” by teaching them about the true God and the thing them he get in mind for human being. (1 Tim. 6:19) Sometime, their family members can go against them or money business can be hard on them because they supporting God Kingdom. But Jehovah can always make sure they get the thing them they need. (Matt. 6:25, 30-33; Luke 18:29, 30) All this one them convince us that God Kingdom real and that it will continue to fulfill Jehovah purpose.

14-15. Xwɛ̀ Jɛhovaa nyɛ́nɛ́ín-ɖáìn-ɖɛ̀ ɓá gĩɔ dyi zĩ̀ìn jè dyíɛɛ mu jàà kpáùn wɛ̃́?

14 Jesus ruling as King in heaven now-now and he will fulfill all Jehovah promises. (2 Cor. 1:20) Since 1914, Jesus been bringing his enemy them under his control. (Ps. 110:1, 2) He and those who ruling with him will soon finish defeating their enemies and destroy all the wicked people.—Rev. 6:2.

15 During the One Thousand Year Rule, Jesus will resurrect those who na die. And he will help all those who will obey Jehovah to be perfect. After the final test, those who Jehovah will judge to be righteous “will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.” (Ps. 37:10, 11, 29) We will be happy because “the last enemy, death,” will be “brought to nothing.”—1 Cor. 15:26.

16. Xwíníín jɛ́ɛ́ɔ̀ nyɛ́ kɔ̃̀ jè à nìà Jɛhova ɓièɛ̀ nyɛ́?

16 We na see from this article that our hope to live forever, really coming from God Word the Bible. That hope helping us to remain loyal during these last days that hard to deal with. We must not only make Jehovah happy because we want get everlasting life. Our main reason for remaining loyal to Jehovah and Jesus must be because we really love them. (2 Cor. 5:14, 15) Love can make us to follow their example and to preach to other people about our hope. (Rom. 10:13-15) When we not selfish and we not mean, then Jehovah will want be our friend forever.—Heb. 13:16.

17. Ðɛ́ à ɖò-ɖò ɓéɖé à ké nyuɛ́? (Máfíò 7:13, 14)
