112 Praise ye Yah!

א

How happy is the man who revereth Yahweh,

ב

In his commandments delighteth he greatly;

ג

2 Mighty in the earth shall be his seed,

ד

The generation of the upright shall be blessed;

ה

3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house,

ו

And his righteousness standeth for aye.

ז

4 Risen—in darkness is light to the upright,

ח

The gracious and compassionate and righteous.

ט

5 Well for a man shewing favour and lending!

י

He shall sustain his affairs with justice.

כ

6 Surely unto times age-abiding shall he not be shaken,

ל

In remembrance age-abiding shall the righteous one remain;

מ

7 Of evil tidings shall he not be afraid,

נ

Established is his heart, led to trust in Yahweh;

ס

8 Upheld is his heart, he shall not be afraid,

ע

Until that he gazeth on his foes.

פ

9 He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy,

צ

His righteousness standeth for aye,

ק

His horn shall be exalted in honour.

ר

10 The lawless one shall see and be indignant,

ש

His teeth will he gnash and melt away,

ת

The craving of the lawless shall vanish.
