16 But in the fourth generation they will return here,+ because the error of the Amʹor·ites has not yet come to completion.”+

15 And here I am with you and I will keep you in all the way you are going and I will return you to this ground,+ because I am not going to leave you until I have actually done what I have spoken to you.”+

29 Gradually the days approached for Israel to die.+ So he called his son Joseph and said to him: “If, now, I have found favor in your eyes, place your hand, please, under my thigh,+ and you must exercise loving-kindness and trustworthiness* toward me.+ (Please, do not bury me in Egypt.)+

13 So his sons carried him into the land of Caʹnaan and buried him in the cave of the field of Mach·peʹlah, the field that Abraham had purchased for the possession of a burial place from Eʹphron the Hitʹtite in front of Mamʹre.+

8 And I am proceeding to go down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians+ and to bring them up out of that land to a land good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey,+ to the locality of the Caʹnaan·ites and the Hitʹtites and the Amʹor·ites and the Perʹiz·zites and the Hiʹvites and the Jebʹu·sites.+
