28 Now men, Midʹi·an·ite merchants,+ went passing by. Hence they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the waterpit+ and then sold Joseph to the Ishʹma·el·ites for twenty silver pieces.+ Eventually these brought Joseph into Egypt.

17 And he went on to say to David: “You are more righteous than I am,+ for it is you who have rendered me good,+ and it is I who have rendered you evil.

13 He that is covering over his transgressions will not succeed,+ but he that is confessing and leaving [them] will be shown mercy.+
