18 “And they will certainly listen to your voice,+ and you must come, you and the older men of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and YOU men must say to him, ‘Jehovah the God of the Hebrews+ has come in touch with us,+ and now we want to go, please, a journey of three days into the wilderness, and we want to sacrifice to Jehovah our God.’+

3 However, they went on to say: “The God of the Hebrews has come in touch with us.+ We want to go, please, a journey of three days into the wilderness and sacrifice to Jehovah our God;+ otherwise he may strike at us with pestilence* or with sword.”+

27 We shall go a journey of three days into the wilderness and we shall definitely sacrifice to Jehovah our God just as he has said to us.”+
