8 After that we took their land and gave it as an inheritance to the Reuʹben·ites and the Gadʹites and half the tribe of the Ma·nasʹsites.+

6 It was Moses the servant of Jehovah and the sons of Israel who defeated them,+ after which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave it as a holding to the Reuʹben·ites+ and the Gadʹites+ and half of the tribe of Ma·nasʹseh.+

7 And to the half tribe of Ma·nasʹseh Moses had made a gift in Baʹshan,+ and to the other half of it Joshua made a gift with their brothers on the side of the Jordan to the west.+ So, too, when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he proceeded to bless them.

18 As for the sons of Reuʹben and the Gadʹites and the half tribe of Ma·nasʹseh; of those who were valiant+ fellows, men carrying shield and sword and bending the bow* and trained in war, there were forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty going out to the army.+
