38 to drive away nations greater and mightier than you from before you, so as to bring you in, to give you their land as an inheritance as at this day.+

4 From the wilderness and* this Lebʹa·non to the great river, the river Eu·phraʹtes, that is, all the land of the Hitʹtites,+ and to the Great Sea toward the setting of the sun YOUR territory will prove to be.+

14 Now this is what the sons of Israel took as a hereditary possession in the land of Caʹnaan,+ which El·e·aʹzar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel caused them to inherit.+

19 And I myself have said, ‘O how I proceeded to place you* among the sons and to give you the desirable land,+ the hereditary possession of the ornament of the armies of the nations!’ And I further said, ‘“My Father!”+ YOU people will call out to me, and from following me YOU people will not turn back.’
