28 And he continued there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights. He ate no bread and he drank no water.+ And he* proceeded to write upon the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Words.*+

3 And the man Moses was by far the meekest*+ of all the men who were upon the surface of the ground.

3 “Look! I am sending my messenger,*+ and he must clear up a way before me.+ And suddenly there will come to His temple*+ the [true] Lord,*+ whom YOU people are seeking, and the messenger*+ of the covenant+ in whom YOU are delighting.+ Look! He will certainly come,” Jehovah of armies has said.+

2 After he had fasted forty days and forty nights,+ then he felt hungry.

29 Take my yoke+ upon YOU* and learn from me,*+ for I am mild-tempered+ and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment+ for YOUR souls.*

27 And commencing at Moses+ and all the Prophets+ he interpreted to them things pertaining to himself in all the Scriptures.

44 He now said to them: “These are my words which I spoke to YOU while I was yet with YOU,+ that all the things written in the law of Moses and in the Prophets+ and Psalms+ about me must be fulfilled.”

46 In fact, if YOU believed Moses YOU would believe me, for that one wrote about me.+
