16 then I, for my part, shall do the following to YOU, and in punishment I shall certainly bring upon YOU disturbance with tuberculosis+ and burning fever, causing the eyes to fail+ and making the soul pine away.+ And YOU will simply sow YOUR seed for nothing, as YOUR enemies will certainly eat it up.+

51 And they will certainly eat the fruit of your domestic animals and the fruitage of your ground until you have been annihilated,+ and they will let no grain, new wine or oil, no young of your cattle or progeny of your flock, remain for you until they have destroyed you.+

37 and its produce is abounding+ for the kings+ that you have put over us because of our sins,+ and over our bodies they are ruling and over our domestic animals, according to their liking, and we are in great distress.*+

7 YOUR land is a desolation,+ YOUR cities are burned with fire;+ YOUR ground—right in front of YOU strangers+ are eating it up,+ and the desolation is like an overthrow by strangers.+

17 They will also certainly eat up your harvest and your bread.+ The men will eat up your sons and your daughters. They will eat up your flocks and your herds. They will eat up your vine and your fig tree.+ They will shatter with the sword your fortified cities in which you are trusting.”
