21 And it is before El·e·aʹzar the priest that he will stand, and he must inquire+ in his behalf by the judgment of the Uʹrim+ before Jehovah. At his order they will go out and at his order they will come in, he and all the sons of Israel with him and all the assembly.”

16 Accordingly they answered Joshua, saying: “All that you have commanded us we shall do, and wherever you may send us we shall go.+

17 Be obedient to those who are taking the lead among YOU*+ and be submissive,*+ for they are keeping watch over YOUR souls as those who will render an account;+ that they may do this with joy and not with sighing, for this would be damaging to YOU.+
