16 Then you will have to take some of their* daughters for your sons,+ and their daughters will be certain to have immoral intercourse* with their gods and make your sons have immoral intercourse with their gods.+

4 And it came about in the time of Solʹo·mon’s growing old+ that his wives themselves had inclined+ his heart to follow other gods;+ and his heart did not prove to be complete+ with Jehovah his God like the heart of David his father.
