7 And the men chased after them in the direction of the Jordan at the fords,+ and they shut the gate immediately after those chasing after them had gone out.

5 And Gilʹe·ad got to capture the fords of the Jordan+ ahead of Eʹphra·im; and it occurred that when the escaping men of Eʹphra·im would say: “Let me pass over,” then the men of Gilʹe·ad would say to each one: “Are you an Eʹphra·im·ite?” When he would say: “No!”
