11 Take, please, the gift conveying my blessing which was brought to you,+ because God has favored me and because I have everything.”+ And he continued to urge him, so that he took it.+

18 At once Abʹi·gail+ hastened and took two hundred loaves of bread and two large jars of wine+ and five sheep dressed+ and five seah* measures of roasted+ grain and a hundred cakes of raisins+ and two hundred cakes of pressed figs+ and put them upon the asses.

26 When David came to Zikʹlag he proceeded to send some of the spoil to the older men of Judah, his friends,+ saying: “Here is a gift+ blessing for YOU from the spoil of Jehovah’s enemies.”

15 Then he went back to the man of the [true] God,+ he with all his camp, and came and stood before him and said: “Here, now, I certainly know that there is no God anywhere in the earth but in Israel.+ And now accept, please, a blessing gift+ from your servant.”

16 A man’s gift* will make a large opening for him,+ and it will lead him even before great people.+

21 If the one hating you is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.+

22 For coals are what you are raking together upon his head,+ and Jehovah himself will reward you.+
