18 At that King David came in and sat down before Jehovah and said: “Who am I,+ O Sovereign Lord Jehovah? And what is my house that you have brought me thus far?

33 The fear of Jehovah is a discipline toward wisdom,+ and before glory there is humility.+

12 Before a crash the heart of a man is lofty,+ and before glory there is humility.+

4 The result of humility [and] the fear of Jehovah is riches and glory and life.+

6 However, the undeserved kindness which he gives is greater.+ Hence it says: “God opposes the haughty ones,+ but he gives undeserved kindness to the humble ones.”+

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt YOU in due time;+
