22 When they went up into the Negʹeb,+ they then came to Heʹbron.+ Now A·hiʹman, Sheʹshai and Talʹmai,+ those born of Aʹnak,*+ were there. Incidentally, Heʹbron+ had been built seven years before Zoʹan+ of Egypt.
14 That is why Heʹbron has come to belong to Caʹleb the son of Je·phunʹneh the Kenʹiz·zite as an inheritance down to this day, for the reason that he followed Jehovah the God of Israel fully.+
7 Accordingly they gave a sacred status to Keʹdesh*+ in Galʹi·lee* in the mountainous region of Naphʹta·li, and Sheʹchem+ in the mountainous region of Eʹphra·im, and Kirʹi·ath-arʹba,+ that is to say, Heʹbron, in the mountainous region of Judah.
11 Thus they gave them Kirʹi·ath-arʹba+ ([said Arʹba being] the father of Aʹnak),+ that is to say, Heʹbron,+ in the mountainous region of Judah,+ and its pasture ground all around it;
11 And the days that David had reigned over Israel were forty years.+ In Heʹbron+ he had reigned seven years,+ and in Jerusalem he had reigned thirty-three years.+
