17 When Aʹbram got to be ninety-nine years old, then Jehovah appeared to Aʹbram and said to him:+ “I am God Almighty.*+ Walk before me and prove yourself faultless.+

3 “‘If YOU continue walking in my statutes and keeping my commandments and YOU do carry them out,+

3 “I beseech you, O Jehovah, remember,+ please, how I have walked+ before you in truthfulness+ and with a complete heart,+ and what was good in your eyes I have done.”+ And Hez·e·kiʹah began to weep profusely.*+

3 And the king kept standing by the pillar+ and now concluded the covenant+ before Jehovah, to walk+ after Jehovah and to keep his commandments+ and his testimonies*+ and his statutes+ with all the heart+ and with all the soul+ by carrying out the words of this covenant that were written in this book.+ Accordingly all the people took their stand in the covenant.+

3 And Jehovah continued with Je·hoshʹa·phat,+ because he walked in the former ways of David his forefather+ and did not search for the Baʹals.+

6 They both were righteous+ before God because of walking blamelessly+ in accord with all the commandments+ and legal+ requirements of Jehovah.*+
