45 “And all these maledictions+ will certainly come upon you and pursue you and overtake you until you have been annihilated,+ because you did not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God by keeping his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you.+

18 At that Je·hoʹash the king of Judah took all the holy offerings+ that Je·hoshʹa·phat and Je·hoʹram and A·ha·ziʹah his forefathers, the kings of Judah, had sanctified and his own holy offerings and all the gold to be found in the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the house of the king and sent+ them to Hazʹa·el the king of Syria. So he withdrew from against Jerusalem.

8 Accordingly Aʹhaz took the silver and the gold that was to be found at the house of Jehovah and in the treasures of the king’s house+ and sent the king of As·syrʹi·a a bribe.+
