24 You must not bow down to their gods or be induced to serve them, and you must not make anything like their works,+ but you will without fail throw them down and you will without fail break down their sacred pillars.+

16 Then he said: “Do go along with me and look upon my toleration of no rivalry+ toward Jehovah.” And they* kept him riding with him in his war chariot.

3 So he removed the foreign altars*+ and the high places+ and broke up the sacred pillars+ and cut down the sacred poles.*+
