2 And he went on to strike down the Moʹab·ites+ and measure them with a line, making them lie down* on the earth, that he might measure two lines to put them to death, and a full line to preserve them alive;+ and the Moʹab·ites came to be David’s servants+ to carry tribute.*+

6 After that David put [garrisons]* in Syria of Damascus,+ and the Syrians came to be David’s servants bearing tribute.+ And Jehovah kept giving salvation to David wherever he went.+

14 aside from the men of travel* and the merchants+ who were bringing in and all the kings of the Arabs+ and the governors of the land who were bringing in gold and silver to Solʹo·mon.

8 And the Amʹmon·ites+ began to give tribute+ to Uz·ziʹah. Eventually his fame+ went even as far as Egypt, for he displayed strength to an extraordinary degree.
