18 Therefore, pay attention to how YOU listen; for whoever has, more will be given him,+ but whoever does not have, even what he imagines he has will be taken away from him.”+

14 And a certain woman named Lydʹi·a, a seller of purple, of the city of Thy·a·tiʹra+ and a worshiper of God, was listening, and Jehovah* opened her heart+ wide to pay attention to the things being spoken by Paul.

11 Now the latter were more noble-minded than those in Thes·sa·lo·niʹca, for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining+ the Scriptures+ daily as to whether these things were so.+

2 That is why it is necessary for us to pay more than the usual attention to* the things heard+ by us, that we may never drift away.+
