36 Then we gave the laws+ of the king to the satraps*+ of the king and the governors+ beyond the River,*+ and they assisted the people+ and the house of the [true] God.

3 And all the princes+ of the jurisdictional districts and the satraps+ and the governors and the doers of the business+ that belonged to the king were assisting the Jews, for the dread+ of Morʹde·cai had fallen upon them.

6 It seemed good to Da·riʹus, and he set up over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, who were to be over the whole kingdom;+
