7 Let the wicked man leave his way,+ and the harmful man his thoughts;+ and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him,+ and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way.+

11 Say to them, ‘“As I am alive,” is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take delight, not in the death of the wicked one,+ but in that someone wicked turns back+ from his way and actually keeps living.+ Turn back, turn back from YOUR bad ways,+ for why is it that YOU should die, O house of Israel?”’+

3 Why is it that you make me see what is hurtful, and you keep looking upon mere trouble? And [why] are despoiling and violence in front of me, and [why] does quarreling occur, and [why] is strife carried?+

13 You are too pure in eyes to see what is bad; and to look on trouble you are not able.+ Why is it that you look on those dealing treacherously,+ that you keep silent when someone wicked swallows up someone more righteous than he is?+

17 For the Scripture says to Pharʹaoh: “For this very cause I have let you remain,* that in connection with you I may show my power, and that my name may be declared in all the earth.”+

22 If, now, God, although having the will to demonstrate his wrath and to make his power known, tolerated with much long-suffering vessels of wrath made fit for destruction,+
