27 A hiding place is the God of ancient time,+

And underneath are the indefinitely lasting arms.+

And he will drive away from before you the enemy,+

And he will say, ‘Annihilate [them]!’+

27 Jehovah is my light+ and my salvation.+

Of whom shall I be in fear?+

Jehovah is the stronghold of my life.+

Of whom shall I be in dread?+

 8 Jehovah* is a strength to his people,*+

And he is a stronghold of the grand salvation of his anointed one.*+
