8 also a letter to Aʹsaph the keeper of the park* that belongs to the king, that he may give me trees to build with timber the gates of the Castle*+ that belongs to the house,+ and for the wall+ of the city and for the house into which I am to enter.” So the king gave [them] to me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.+

28 the One saying of Cyrus,*+ ‘He is my shepherd, and all that I delight in he will completely carry out’;+ even in [my] saying* of Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt,’* and of the temple, ‘You will have your foundation laid.’”+

17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought,+ even to carry out [their] one thought by giving* their kingdom to the wild beast,+ until the words of God will have been accomplished.+
