12 And he proceeded to say to me: “Have you seen, O son of man, what the elderly ones of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness,+ each one in the inner rooms of his showpiece? For they are saying, ‘Jehovah is not seeing us.*+ Jehovah has left the land.’”*

20 For he that practices vile things+ hates the light and does not come to the light, in order that his works may not be reproved.+

5 Hence do not judge+ anything before the due time, until the Lord comes,+ who will both bring the secret things of darkness to light+ and make the counsels of the hearts manifest,+ and then each one will have his praise come to him* from God.+
