12 And Jehovah proceeded to say to Aʹbram: “Go your way out of your country and from your relatives* and from the house of your father to the country that I shall show you;+

2 At this Aʹbram said: “Sovereign Lord Jehovah,* what will you give me, seeing that I am going childless and the one who will possess my house is a man of Damascus, E·li·eʹzer?”+

7 You are Jehovah the [true] God, who chose Aʹbram+ and brought him out of Ur of the Chal·deʹans+ and constituted his name Abraham.+

24 “Son of man, the inhabitants of these devastated places+ are saying even concerning the soil of Israel, ‘Abraham happened to be just one and yet he took possession of the land.+ And we are many; to us the land has been given as something to possess.’+
