19 And in case they should say to YOU people: “Apply to the spiritistic mediums+ or to those having a spirit of prediction who are chirping+ and making utterances in low tones,”* is it not to its God that any people should apply?+ [Should there be application] to dead persons in behalf of living persons?+

25 [I am] frustrating the signs of the empty talkers,* and [I am] the One that makes diviners themselves act crazily;+ the One turning wise men backwards, and the One that turns even their knowledge into foolishness;+

16 And it happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a certain servant girl with a spirit,+ a demon of divination,*+ met us. She used to furnish her masters with much gain+ by practicing the art of prediction.

23 and no light of a lamp will ever shine in you again, and no voice of a bridegroom and of a bride will ever be heard in you again;+ because your traveling merchants+ were the top-ranking men+ of the earth, for by your spiritistic+ practice* all the nations were misled.
