12 And I will make the Nile canals+ dry ground and will sell the land into the hand of bad men,+ and I will cause the land and its fullness to be desolated by the hand of strangers.+ I myself, Jehovah, have spoken.’+

11 And he must pass through the sea [with] distress;+ and in the sea he must strike down [the] waves,+ and all the depths* of the Nile must dry up.+ And the pride of As·syrʹi·a must be brought down,+ and the very scepter+ of Egypt will depart.+
