9 The land* has gone mourning, has withered away.+ Lebʹa·non has become abashed;+ it has moldered.* Sharʹon+ has become like the desert plain; and Baʹshan and Carʹmel are shaking off [their leaves].+
28 On this account the land will mourn,+ and the heavens above will certainly become dark.+ It is because I have spoken, I have considered, and I have not felt regret, nor shall I turn back from it.+
3 That is why the land will mourn+ and every inhabitant in it will have to fade away with the wild beast of the field and with the flying creature of the heavens, and even the fishes of the sea themselves will be gathered [in death].*+
