20 “Jehovah will send upon you the curse,+ confusion+ and rebuke+ in every undertaking of yours that you try to carry out, until you have been annihilated and have perished in a hurry, because of the badness of your practices in that you have forsaken me.+

17 due to the fact that they have left me and have gone making sacrificial smoke to other gods+ in order to offend me with all the work of their hands,+ and my rage has been set afire against this place and will not be extinguished.’”’+

11 “But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah,+ those forgetting my holy mountain,+ those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck*+ and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny.*+

13 ‘because there are two bad things that my people have done: They have left even me,+ the source of living water,+ in order to hew out for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that cannot contain the water.’

6 “‘You yourself have deserted me,’+ is the utterance of Jehovah. ‘Backwards is the way you keep walking.+ And I shall stretch out my hand against you and bring you to ruin.+ I have got tired of feeling regret.+

13 O Jehovah, the hope of Israel,+ all those who are leaving you will be put to shame.+ Those apostatizing from me+ will be written down even in the earth, because they have left the source of living water, Jehovah.+

5 we have sinned+ and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled;+ and there has been a turning aside from your commandments and from your judicial decisions.+
