13 and Jehovah kept warning+ Israel+ and Judah+ by means of all his prophets+ [and] every visionary,+ saying: “Turn back from YOUR bad ways+ and keep my commandments,+ my statutes,+ according to all the law+ that I commanded YOUR forefathers+ and that I have sent to YOU by means of my servants the prophets”;+

7 Let the wicked man leave his way,+ and the harmful man his thoughts;+ and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him,+ and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way.+

11 “And now say, please, to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, ‘This is what Jehovah has said: “Here I am forming against YOU a calamity and thinking against YOU a thought.+ Turn back, please, each one from his bad way, and make YOUR ways and YOUR dealings good.”’”+

15 And I kept sending to YOU all my servants the prophets,+ rising up early and sending [them], saying, ‘Turn back, please, each one from his bad way,+ and make YOUR dealings good,+ and do not walk after other gods to serve them.+ And keep dwelling on the ground that I have given to YOU and to YOUR forefathers.’+ But YOU did not incline YOUR ear, nor did YOU listen to me.+

30 “‘Therefore each one according to his ways is how I shall judge YOU,+ O house of Israel,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.+ ‘Turn back, yes, cause a turning back from all YOUR transgressions,+ and let nothing prove to be for YOU people a stumbling block causing error.+

11 Say to them, ‘“As I am alive,” is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take delight, not in the death of the wicked one,+ but in that someone wicked turns back+ from his way and actually keeps living.+ Turn back, turn back from YOUR bad ways,+ for why is it that YOU should die, O house of Israel?”’+

8 And let them cover themselves with sackcloth, man and domestic animal; and let them call out to God with strength and come back,+ each one from his bad way and from the violence that was in their hands.

4 “‘Do not become like YOUR fathers+ to whom the former prophets called,+ saying: “This is what Jehovah* of armies has said, ‘Return, please, from YOUR bad ways and from YOUR bad dealings.’”’+

“‘But they did not listen, and they paid no attention to me,’+ is the utterance of Jehovah.

7 From the days of YOUR forefathers YOU have turned aside from my regulations and have not kept [them].+ Return to me, and I will return to YOU,”+ Jehovah of armies has said.

And YOU have said: “In what way shall we return?”

9 Jehovah* is not slow respecting his promise,+ as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.*+
