7 I will also cut Israel off from upon the surface of the ground that I have given to them;+ and the house that I have sanctified to my name I shall throw away* from before me,+ and Israel will indeed become a proverbial saying+ and a taunt among all the peoples.

14 I will do also to the house upon which my name has been called,+ in which YOU are trusting,+ and to the place that I gave to YOU and to YOUR forefathers, just as I did to Shiʹloh.+

18 Incline your ear, O my God, and hear.+ Do open your eyes and see our desolated conditions and the city that has been called by your name;*+ for not according to our righteous acts are we letting our entreaties fall before you,+ but according to your many mercies.+

17 For it is the appointed time for the judgment to start with the house of God.+ Now if it starts first with us,+ what will the end be of those who are not obedient to the good news of God?+
