13 And after all that has come upon us for our bad deeds+ and our great guiltiness—for you yourself, O our God, have underestimated our error,+ and you have given us those who have escaped such as these+—

18 Yes, when they had made for themselves a molten statue of a calf+ and began to say, ‘This is your God* who led you up out of Egypt,’+ and they went on to commit great acts of disrespect,

6 And we have not listened to your servants the prophets,+ who have spoken in your name to our kings, our princes and our forefathers and to all the people of the land.*+
