29 In his days Pharʹaoh Neʹchoh*+ the king of Egypt came up to the king of As·syrʹi·a* by the river Eu·phraʹtes,+ and King Jo·siʹah proceeded to go to meet him;+ but he put him to death+ at Me·gidʹdo+ as soon as he saw him.

20 After all this when Jo·siʹah had prepared the house, Neʹcho*+ the king of Egypt+ came up to fight at Carʹche·mish+ by the Eu·phraʹtes. Then Jo·siʹah+ went out to an encounter with him.+
