9 My servants themselves will bring them down out of Lebʹa·non+ to the sea; and I, for my part, shall put them in log rafts [to go] by sea clear to the place that you will send me notice of;+ and I shall certainly have them broken up there, and you, for your part, will carry them; and you, for your part, will do my delight by giving the food for my household.”+

10 And, look! to the gatherers of wood, the cutters of the trees, I do give wheat as food* for your servants, twenty thousand cors,+ and barley twenty thousand cors, and wine+ twenty thousand baths, and oil twenty thousand baths.”

7 And they proceeded to give money+ to the cutters+ and to the craftsmen,+ and eatables+ and drink and oil+ to the Si·doʹni·ans+ and the Tyrʹi·ans,+ to bring cedar timbers from Lebʹa·non+ to the sea at Jopʹpa,+ according to the permission granted by Cyrus+ the king of Persia to them.

20 Now he was in a fighting mood against the people of Tyre and of Siʹdon. So with one accord they came* to him and, after persuading Blastus, who was in charge of the bedchamber of the king, they began suing for peace, because their country was supplied with food+ from that of the king.
