12 “This is what Jehovah of armies has said, ‘In this waste place without man and even domestic animal+ and in all its cities there will yet come to be the pasture ground of the shepherds who are making the flock lie down.’+

13 therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “I will also stretch out my hand against Eʹdom+ and cut off from it man* and domestic animal,+ and I will make it a devastated place from Teʹman,+ even to Deʹdan.+ By the sword they will fall.

3 That is why the land will mourn+ and every inhabitant in it will have to fade away with the wild beast of the field and with the flying creature of the heavens, and even the fishes of the sea themselves will be gathered [in death].*+

3 “I shall finish off earthling man and beast.+ I shall finish off the flying creature of the heavens and the fishes of the sea,+ and the stumbling blocks with the wicked ones;+ and I will cut off mankind* from the surface of the ground,”+ is the utterance of Jehovah.*
