19 Even Judah itself did not keep the commandments of Jehovah their God,+ but they went walking in the statutes of Israel+ that they had made.

35 “But you say, ‘I have remained innocent. Surely his anger has turned back from me.’+

“Here I am entering into controversy with you on account of your saying, ‘I have not sinned.’+

4 Hear the word of Jehovah, O sons of Israel, for Jehovah has a legal case with the inhabitants of the land,*+ for there is no truth+ nor loving-kindness* nor knowledge of God in the land.+

2 Hear, O YOU mountains, the legal case of Jehovah, also YOU durable objects, YOU foundations of [the] earth;+ for Jehovah has a legal case with his people, and it is with Israel that he will argue:+
