20 So it came in between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel.+ On the one hand it proved to be a cloud together with darkness. On the other hand it kept lighting up the night.+ And this group did not come near that group all night long.
30 And they will growl over it in that day as with the growling of the sea.+ And one will actually gaze at the land, and, look! there is distressing darkness;+ and even the light has grown dark because of the drops falling on it.
16 Give to Jehovah YOUR God* glory,+ before he causes darkness+ and before YOUR feet strike up against each other on the mountains at dusk.+ And YOU will certainly hope for the light,+ and he will actually make it deep shadow;+ he will turn [it] into thick gloom.+
9 “‘And it must occur in that day,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘that I will make the sun go down at high noon,+ and I will cause darkness for the land on a bright day.
