2 Now there was a man in Maʹon,+ and his work was in Carʹmel.*+ And the man was very great, and he had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats; and he came to be [engaged] in shearing+ his sheep at Carʹmel.
9 The land* has gone mourning, has withered away.+ Lebʹa·non has become abashed;+ it has moldered.* Sharʹon+ has become like the desert plain; and Baʹshan and Carʹmel are shaking off [their leaves].+
