10 The scepter* will not turn aside from Judah,+ neither the commander’s staff* from between his feet,* until Shiʹloh* comes;+ and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong.*+

2 For Judah+ himself proved to be superior among his brothers, and the one for leader was from him;+ but the right as firstborn was Joseph’s+—

6 For there has been a child born to us,+ there has been a son given to us;+ and the princely rule* will come to be upon his shoulder.+ And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor,*+ Mighty God,*+ Eternal Father,*+ Prince of Peace.*+

6 ‘And you, O Bethʹle·hem*+ of the land of Judah, are by no means the most insignificant [city] among the governors* of Judah; for out of you will come forth a governing one,*+ who will shepherd+ my people, Israel.’”

32 This one will be great+ and will be called Son of the Most High;+ and Jehovah* God will give him the throne+ of David his father,+
