15 “And it must occur that if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God by taking care to do all his commandments and his statutes that I am commanding you today, all these maledictions must also come upon you and overtake you:+

21 I spoke to you during your freedom from care.+ You said, ‘I shall not obey.’+ This has been your way since your youth, for you did not obey my voice.+

23 And they proceeded to come in and take possession of it,+ but they did not obey your voice, and in your law they did not walk.+ All the things that you commanded them to do they did not do,+ so that you caused all this calamity to befall them.+
