8 So Moses took the blood and sprinkled it upon the people+ and said: “Here is the blood of the covenant+ that Jehovah has concluded with YOU as respects all these words.”

11 “Also, you, [O woman,]* by the blood of your* covenant+ I will send your prisoners+ out of the pit in which there is no water.

28 for this means+ my ‘blood+ of the covenant,’+ which is to be poured out in behalf of many+ for forgiveness of sins.+

25 He did likewise respecting the cup+ also, after he had the evening meal, saying: “This cup means the new covenant+ by virtue of my blood.+ Keep doing this, as often as YOU drink it, in remembrance+ of me.”

18 Consequently neither was the former [covenant]+ inaugurated* without blood.+
