19 To this God said: “Sarah your wife is indeed bearing you a son, and you must call his name Isaac.*+ And I will establish my covenant with him for a covenant to time indefinite to his seed after him.+

20 You will give [the] trueness [given] to Jacob, [the] loving-kindness [given] to Abraham, which you swore to our forefathers from the days of long ago.+

16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham+ and to his seed.+ It* says, not: “And to seeds,” as in the case of many such, but as in the case of one:+ “And to your seed,”+ who is Christ.+
