16 YOU did not choose me, but I chose YOU, and I appointed YOU to go on and keep bearing fruit+ and that YOUR fruit should remain; in order that no matter what YOU ask the Father in my name he might give it to YOU.+

4 just as he chose+ us in union with him before the founding*+ of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish+ before him in love.+

13 However, we are obligated to thank God always for YOU, brothers loved by Jehovah,* because God selected YOU+ from [the] beginning for salvation by sanctifying+ YOU with spirit+ and by YOUR faith in the truth.+

10 On this account I go on enduring all things for the sake of the chosen ones,+ that they too may obtain the salvation that is in union with Christ Jesus along with everlasting glory.+
