3 But I want YOU to know that the head of every man is the Christ;+ in turn the head of a woman is the man;+ in turn the head of the Christ is God.+

22 Let wives be in subjection+ to their husbands as to the Lord,

18 YOU wives, be in subjection+ to [your] husbands, as it is becoming in [the] Lord.

5 to be sound in mind, chaste,+ workers at home, good, subjecting+ themselves to their own husbands, so that the word of God may not be spoken of abusively.*+

3 In like manner,+ YOU wives, be in subjection+ to YOUR own husbands, in order that, if any are not obedient+ to the word, they may be won*+ without a word* through the conduct of [their] wives,+
